ELA College Courses Offered On CSHM Campus

This semester CSHM is offering East Los Angeles College classes every day (except Friday) after school from 2:45-6:00 on our campus. These classes are available to all CSHM students free of charge. College classes offered this fall on our campus are: Mondays- Introduction to Businiss; Tuesdays- Engineering Graphics; Wednesdays- Introduction to Robotics; Thursdays-Chicano Studies. CSHM students can earn extra credits, increase gpa's, experience real college level classes, and "spice" up their transcripts by taking these ELAC classes right here on our campus. These free classes will begin the week of September 4th. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

CSHM Brick Program

CSHM offers the opportunity to our community to purchase a brick for engraving around the CSHM logo at the base of St. Phillip of Jesus. Everyone who walks the campus will now be able to see a permanent representation of CSHM's dedicated alumni and benefactors! Proceeds from brick sales will benefit the CSHM tuition assistance fund! College Tours

The College Counseling Office is offering two college trips the week of June 12. The trips are limited to current 9-11 grade students. The first 18 students who pay the $3 fee and submit a signed trip slip will be able to attend.

California State University, Fullerton Offers Mathematics Intensive Summer Session

Mathematics intensive Summer Session (MISS) is a 4 week supplemental commuter math program at CSUF. Now in its 27th year, this program has helped young female students struggling with math to build their confidence, improve their skills, and explore possible careers in STEM. Courses offered in this summer's program are: (1) Preparation for Algebra 2/Integrated Math III and (2) Preparation for Pre-Calculus. These courses are supplementary and are designed to prepare students for their next Math course. It is not meant to take the place of a regular math class and no credits will be given.

9th Annual Powder Puff

Saturday May 20th at 12:00pm, CSHM is holding its 9th Annual Power Puff Game. Funds raised for this event will go to the Giovanna Sergi Scholarship Fund. Parents this is a great opportunity to complete your service hours. Please contact Mrs. Farias at if you would like to donate items or work the event. Pre-Sale Tickets $5.00 in the front office, $7.00 at the door.
